Software engineer, cloud infrastructure

Job description:

- At Soniox, we build the systems that power our real-time speech AI at scale. From low-latency inference to global API access, our infrastructure enables engineers to ship quickly and reliably — while keeping the platform secure, scalable, and always available.

- We thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where ownership, reliability, and performance matter.

- Design and build the cloud infrastructure that powers Soniox’s real-time speech and translation products.

- Create abstractions and tooling that accelerate development while maintaining performance and security.

- Ensure our systems scale reliably across increasing workloads and global traffic.

- Contribute to high-availability and observability standards, including being part of an on-call rotation for critical systems.

Requirements:

- Have 5+ years of experience building and maintaining core infrastructure in production environments.

- Have deep knowledge of Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems at scale.

- Have built internal platforms or abstractions over cloud providers like AWS or GCP.

- Care deeply about performance, reliability, and secure-by-default infrastructure.

- Are proactive, adaptable, and thrive in an environment with rapid iteration and evolving goals.

We offer:

- You’ll help build one of the most technically advanced AI platforms in the world — and shape how it reaches and supports users globally.

- You’ll work directly with a world-class team of engineers and researchers solving frontier problems in speech and language AI.

- You'll have a voice in how our company grows, how our customers succeed, and how AI transforms human communication.
